Job Classification: Contract We are currently hiring for a Cook with a company located in the Hillsboro area. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen, lift 40-50lbs, at least one year of blending or mixing experience with food processing machinery preferred, and fork lift certified with at least one year of experience.Qualified candidates will have experience with the following:-Set up, operate, and tend equipment that cooks, mixes, blends, or processes ingredients in the manufacturing of food products, according to formulas or recipes-Mix or blend ingredients, according to recipes, using a paddle or an agitator, or by controlling vats that heat and mix ingredients-Record production and test data for each food product batch-Observe gauges and thermometers to determine if the mixing chamber temperature is within specified limits, and turn valves to control the temperature-Clean and sterilize tanks and batch processing areas-Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity, bouquet, or color.-Deliver samples to QA for testing and batch approval-Select and measure or weigh ingredients, using English or metric measures and balance scales.
