Job Description

Job title: Application Support Analyst(Associate or Career)

Reports to: Manager IT

Classification: Exempt

This position will be considered at Associate or Career level, depending on skills and experience.

Summary:
Troubleshoot logistics systems (software and hardware) Research possible EDI issues and correct data when necessary. Escalate issues to level 2 and 3 teams for further solution development. Using the companys tracking tool, document all issues that come to TSG.

Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot systems/applications and take appropriate action as required.
Analyze data and research electronic data interchange to diagnose issue sand potential solutions.
Correct issues if appropriate or escalate issues to other teams for further solutions development.
Respond to account requests.
Maintain appropriate log and documentation of issues.

Scope and Accountability:
Occasionally, incumbents decisions and actions moderately impact the companys revenue or operations. Decisions and actions may have a strong impact on reputation, and/or customer satisfaction.
Incumbent makes some independent decisions, but actions are guided by clearly-stated standards, parameters and processes. Incumbent performs work under normal-level of supervision.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma required. College course work or degree desired. Windows and/or UNIX Certifications are beneficial.
2+ years experience with databases, Unix, and MS Office applications in medium to large corporate environments.Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
Broad range of network and desktop knowledge, including experience with MS Office and standard hardware.
Rapidly learn new technologies and recommend / implement those determined to be beneficial to the company.
Basic project management skills; time management skills; multi-task and prioritize work loads; demonstrated analytical capabilities; effectively identify and resolve problems in high visibility, high stress situations.
Strong interpersonal skills; work effectively in dynamic environment with a broad range of end-user configurations; participate in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
Solid communication skills (oral and written); communicate effectively with support peers, end users, and all levels of corporate management.
Provide 7x24 support in a multi-faceted global corporation.
Occasional travel to Menlo Worldwide and Vector customers or other business units is required.
