ETL DeveloperLocation: Portland, OR Works with Technical Lead; Assists with data load related architecture and technical design; Develops ETL mappings; Development and maintenance of database systems to extract, cleanse, transform, load and maintain data; Ensures compliance with industry best practices; Performs code review; Coordinates and develops process automation/job scheduling; Perform testing, code review; Performs defect analysis.This position will provide Clinical data solutions for Health Care informatics efforts. Design, develop, and deliver large scale multi-terabyte Data Warehousing solutions.Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and implementing clinical data extracts
• Designing, developing and implementing clinical data marts
• Building the ETL process to meet specific requirements
• Creating high performance and highly scalable ETL designs
• Establishing and implementing ETL best practices and guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in a Clinical ETL role utilizing rapid development processes
• The candidate will be well versed in analyzing work flows, clinical context, and familiar in the programming environment associated with the EMR database technology.
• The candidate will also be familiar with hosting systems environments (i.e. operating systems utilities, editors, batch facilities, etc), ETL concepts, and scripting skills to package up work for the shared technical services group.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting etc.

Preferred:

• 2 years experience in data warehousing/business intelligence development and architecture experience (full life cycle)
• 2+ years experience in a technical support role for Epic Systems electronic medical record (EMR) suite of applications.
• 2 years experience deploying and supporting large, complex data warehouse/business intelligence solutions (full life cycle)
• 2 years experience designing relational (conceptual, logical, physical) and dimensional data models for data warehouse/business intelligence
• Experience with data integration tools
• Experience with end user analytic tools (Cognos or SAS)
