ALTERNATE TITLE: Plastic Injection Molding Operator

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Newberg, OR. Qualified candidates will have experience with Injection Molding and Precise Measurement using Calipers and Micrometers, as well as excellent math skills.
Position Description:
The Extrusion Operator:

• Sets up and operates Extrusion equipment for the processing of plastic tubing (PVC and Polyurethane).
  
• Places finished product onto cardboard, plastic or metal reels.
  
• Follows work instructions, and completes paperwork and labeling correctly and accurately.

Equipment to be used in this position includes the following:

• Single Screw Extrusion Machine
  
• Dryer for drying plastic pellets
  
• Laser Micrometer Gage Pins Digital and/or Dial Micrometer Weigh Scales
  
• Air-Operated Staple Machine
  
• Basic Hand Tools i.e. Open End/Box End Wrench, Allen Wrenches, Screwdriver

• Experience with Injection Molding and Precise Measurement using Calipers and Micrometers
  
• Basic computer skills for entering data into an Excel spreadsheet, and printing labels from a label-making machine
  
• Basic math skills; i.e. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division to three (3) decimal places (.xxx); must also be able to read prints for dimensional attributes to three (3) decimal places (.xxx) and follow printed instructions on process set-up sheets
  
• Strong verbal and written skills used in communicating issues to other Operators and Management
  
• Ability to use basic hand tools
