- Research general use electrical components, including part numbers, series, dimensions, drawings, performance, availability, and part relationships.
- Resolve questions regarding general use electrical components with a high level of technical expertise and support.
- Review and process new and revision requests for general use electrical components and determine that Daimler Trucks North America requirements are met.
- Maintain and populate electrical component and circuit identification number database.
- Maintain, create, and release electrical component part numbers and drawings.
- Support component cost saving initiatives and design/release process improvements.
- Provide technical support for general use electrical components (i.e. connectors, terminals, relays, cables, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, etc.) to staff from Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and other departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. Electrical/electronic discipline with three years of design experience is preferred.
- Basic vehicle electrical system knowledge is preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
