User Interface Engineer

EVO Solutions is seeking a full-time User Interface Engineer to collaborate with product and engineering teams to create high quality user interfaces and help define the overall user experience. The UI Engineer is responsible for implementing enhancements to the clients already existing suite of products, as well as building new products from designs that are being carefully crafted by experts based on user feedback, usability testing, and user experience best practices.

Responsibilities:
·  Convert designs into a clean and maintainable user interfaces using modern web technology
·  Design, develop, modify, and test web based UI code
·  Evaluate and help adopt new front-end technologies
·  Advise engineering and product management teams on UI best practices
 
Qualifications:
·  Prefer a BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related
·  3+ years of user interface development experience
·  Expertise in HTML, Javascript (including jQuery), CSS, and web standards
·  In-depth knowledge of web browsers and how to handle their differences
·  Experience creating applications/products, not just websites
·  Experience in an agile environment
·  Excellent communication skills
 
Bonus:
·  PHP development experience
·  Object oriented programming knowledge (prefer Python, Ruby, or similar) 
·  Version control experience with Git, Mercurial, etc.
·  Familiar with developing in a Linux environment
·  An eye for good design, while not a primary function, would be helpful
