This position will assist a team that provides support to a wide variety of products including but not limited to wired networking products.
Provide support and/or issue reproduction as assigned by the Customer Support lead.

Necessary Skills (Must Have):
. Can use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook) productivity tools basic features.
. Understands Ethernet networking at the level of someone who might need to configure the devices on a network and would understand the basics well enough to build a simple network and make it work. The person does not need to be a network engineer.
. Understand the role and function of basic network components such as a router, switch, and NIC
. Know about the physical media types used in Ethernet
. Understand IP addressing and routing at a basic level enough to know how a TCP/IP packet finds its way from one address to the next.
. Familiar with Microsoft Windows 7 (or Server 2008 or Server 2008 R2).
o Knows how to use Windows device manager to configure device
. Able to learn and adapt quickly to fast changing environment
. Enthusiastic
. Good time management and organization skills
. Good technical writing skills
. Detail oriented
. Small amount of project management skill
. Advanced Ethernet networking skills
. Familiarity with support tools
. Familiarity with web site
. Knowledge of virtualization using Hyper-V (++ if they know about live migration and clusters)
