Program Analyst 3 (Schools/State Buildings Energy Analyst) at Salem

Job Description

The Oregon Department of Energy has an opportunity with its Energy Efficiency and Conservation Section for someone to work with a team to deliver its Schools and State Buildings energy efficiency programs to more than 800 schools and 6,000 State facilities. Oregons energy efficiency commitment to schools is an award winning program model. The State Building Innovation lab, a part of the Governors 10-year Energy Action Plan, adds additional momentum to the statewide goal of 20% energy reduction in state buildings by 2015, including benchmarking, targeted retrofits and data analytics. Since 1975, ODOE programs and policies have helped make Oregon a recognized leader in energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The purpose of this position is to help further the deployment of energy-efficient design and practices in non-residential facilities in Oregon. The primary focus of this position is to provide technical and program services to improve energy efficiency inOregon K-12 schools and State Buildings.This position will also provide coordination and support for other department programs related to non-residential buildings and facilities as needed, including the State Energy Efficient Design (SEED) program, the State Energy Loan Program (SELP) and agency energy incentive programs. A major emphasis of the position is to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position is expected to provide technical and business case analysis assistance on all energy-related systems in non-residential buildings and facilities and provide lead in one or more of these technologies.
