The SharePoint Specialist is responsible for championing the usage and administration of internal Card Services SharePoint applications. This position will function as a coordinator/communicator with regards to various collaborative tools utilized across the Card Services business unit.
Responsibilities
Ensure that SharePoint is utilized across Card Services by promoting the benefits of this tool and cultivating experts across our business to increase usage and effectiveness.
Provide development, support skills, documentation and training for department-specific SharePoint needs when requested.
Actively seek and develop solutions for improving internal business processes and knowledge sharing approach.
Serve as liaison to the corporate SharePoint team to represent divisional requirements and concerns.Comfortable with working directly with internal customers on their business intelligence needs.
Perform complex design activities which may require extensive research and analysis.
Research new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
Lead requirements sessions including use of interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and using the system and/or processes under analysis
All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
3 years SharePoint management/administration or other knowledge management software experience
SharePoint WSS 3.0, 2003 application development and usage experience, including analysis, design, code and testing of Microsoft SharePoint based applications.
Strong understanding of SharePoint 2003 structures, theories, principles, and practices
Demonstrated understanding of SharePoint APIs and architecture
Professional demeanor
Strong communication (written and verbal) and time management skills
Ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and priorities effectively
Proactive, "can do" attitude, reliable and flexible
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to translate technical information/concepts to nontechnical staff
Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal customers, teams and corporate IT resources
Ability to work extended hours and travel as needed (20% travel anticipated)
