Route Sales at Tualatin

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Helium Services accounts in a given geography; sell, deliver, stock, merchandise products to local chain, independent retailers; execute company sponsored promotional programs
-Maintain customer relationships; identify customer needs; report complaints, including product supply interruptions
-Process orders using hand-held computers; process associated invoices/paperwork
-Provide excellent customer service; increase current customer sales volume, customer base
-Conduct regular pre-trip vehicle safety inspection; maintain clean/organized truck
-Keep accurate inventory of product
-Drive gasoline/diesel-powered straight truck under 26K in a route based system; make cylinder deliveries to local chain, independent retailers; maintain strong customer focus; consistently meet or exceed customer service expectations
-Assume ownership/take initiative in resolution of customer requirements/challenges
-Drive safely/efficiently in hazardous road conditions; utilize common sense/experience to assess safety of road conditions; discontinue a trip when weather/road conditions warrant
-Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations, skill in maneuvering vehicle, cylinder handling equipment in difficult situations
-Work with operations team to meet safety, regulatory, customer satisfaction, efficiency goals
-Maintain accurate paperwork/records within SCOUT system; for regulatory agencies
-Support customer at customer site on a continuing basis
-Report issues that impact or may impact safety, environment, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction to Fill Plant Manager or directly into SmartSolve system
-Complete/submit reports as required by DOT, company policy
-Operate in a safe manner, in accordance with safety policies/procedures; follow standard operating procedures; report accidents, possible injuries, driving citations immediately to supervisor
-Maintain compliance with FDA, DOT, OSHA, any other regulatory agency
-Attend monthly plant safety meetings
-Inspect truck for defects before/after trips; identify maintenance action that may be required; act appropriately if needed
-Use required Personal Protective Equipment, cylinder handling equipment; use equipment per design recommendations
-Work with supervisor/distribution team to ensure prompt/accurate delivery of products/services
-Maintain professional appearance to include full uniform, good personal hygiene; maintain a positive attitude at work
-Work with team to achieve annual goals/targets

 Requirements
-High school diploma, GRE
-Read, write, speak fluent English; must have good communication skills
-Knowledge/understanding of operations/distribution procedures related to job functions
-Able to follow through on instruction, work with minimal supervision, use required computer/telephone applications
-Able to work in a flexible-schedule environment; work a 50 - 60+ hour week, including weekends if needed
-All applicable Haz-Mat endorsements
-Valid Class C drivers license; DMV records cannot exceed 7 points in last 3 years for all states in which driver has driven (no more than 3 safety infractions in a 3 year period)
-Successful completion/passing of DOT written regulations, road tests; working knowledge of up-to-date DOT regulations
-Heavy work; requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling climbing to a significant degree
-Exerting up to 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; up to 25-50 pounds of force frequently; greater than negligible amount of force routinely; ability to perform all functions which includes pushing, turning, pulling of controls
-Physical aptitude to comply with site-specific safety rules; must pass DOT physical to include back x-ray, hearing test, drug screen
-No felonies on record; must be at least 25 years of age
